| Tree Planting Mixes There are a number of options available for tree planting including mixes which fit the general specification of Amsterdam Tree Soil. Mixes of this type are designed to resist compaction and remain free draining thereby improving the survival of trees in areas where tarmac or paving is intended. We also supply peat based and non-peat media for improving the existing soil structure to increase water retention and provide nutrients. |

| Rootzone Construction Mixes Our Rootzone construction mixes are recognised as of the finest quality available and are increasingly being specified in tender documents as the preferred materials by leading golf and sports ground architects and sportsturf consultants. We take great care in sourcing and blending raw materials to ensure optimum performance whether they are lighter types required for golf and bowling greens or the heavier loams used in the construction of tennis courts and cricket squares. |

| Standard specifications are available for all sports applications with a competitively priced mixing service to the client's specification where required. In general, 80:20 or 70:30 blends of single washed sand and light sandy soil are used. It is essential that a minimum of 30cm depth of material is laid and this should be over a free-draining base material to provide sufficient capillarity. If it is necessary to comply with USGA standards, a 90:10 ratio of Double washed sand with 10mm light sandy soil is recommended. | |||||||||||
